PATI (Pendatang Asing Tanpa Izin)

News that the Government is going on another nationwide 'PATI' exercise, that is to encompass different aspects of legalising and repatriating illegal immigrants have prompted me to start posting on this blog that I have started 2 years ago.

So understanding that some of these any runaway maids might just get away with getting a 'PR' of sorts in our country, I am now 'helping' the home minstry in compiling what little information about runaway maids through this blog.

To tell your story, simply leave a comment. If you are not comfortable leaving your email, you may email your story to runawaymaids@gmail.com, and pictures of your maid.

Hopefully, our boys in Immigration will get to see that at least some of them do not deserve a second chance, not at least in this country of ours!

RUNAWAY MAIDS!

Well, Malaysia got into hot water with Indonesia recently! Yup! Shanghai Fish commented in my posting over at my blog that perhaps I did not have the 'human touch' that was lacking in so many other cases that he knew off!

All I can say is, I am not sorry for the way I treated her when she worked for us. The holidays that we took with her as a family, and the presents we sent back to her hometown for her, along with the many letters that she sent. The money that we paid her was put to good use as claimed by her that she now has a house, but for her to runaway with another Indonesian maid that cared for my dying aunt really shook our confidence in Indonesian helpers.

I know of so many others who have shared the same experience.

So, why don't you tell me yours? We are going to do this in a civil way. Post your comment, and if you would like to share your experience, then put your email down. This way, I will authorise you as a writer, and you may post your article and pictures. And if anyone tips us off for any runaway maids, there will be a surprise waiting for you!
